'Wolfsong A Green Creek Novel'
By: TJ Klune

When it comes to absolutely peak reading material, Wolfsong should definitely come up in every conversation. The amazing read focuses on the young Ox, who's been looked down on by family and friends all his life, but things change for the rather sweet character when the strange and secretive Bennett family moves in next door.
Wolfsong should come with a book hangover warning, because not only will readers very likely come out of it genuinely in love with the characters, but they’ll also find themselves obsessed with the overall story. It’s a lengthy book that initially reads as mainly an extremely emotional found-family read. The main character, Ox, goes through a bi-awakening that is quite subtle but very important for the story. Wolfsong is very likely to tear readers up inside one way or the other, as later on the story moves from found-family to unexpected love story. The friendship/familial chemistry in the book is quite beautiful, and when things transition, in a quick bout of frightened realization, it becomes transcendent. Readers should be warned that’ll they’ll likely never be the same after Wolfsong, as the story takes them on a fantastically wonderful journey.
'For The Fans'
By: Nyla K

Nyla K’s For the Fans is absolutely wonderful filth. The series follows stepbrothers Kyran Harbor and Avi Vega, who are opposites in the best ways, forced together in every aspect because their ‘family.” With hatred thick between them, they are unexpectedly tasked to work together to save themselves, but things begin to get complicated when sex and feelings become involved.
Everything good anyone has ever heard or read about For the Fans is very much accurate. The book sucks its readers in and just doesn’t let go. From the MMCS's amazing chemistry to their insane passion, it's likely one of the best MM romances to deliver an addictive queer awakening trope. Avi is an obvious favorite, for very obvious reasons, and when the spice comes into play, well, the heat is piping. Nyla K always does her thing when dishing out MM romances, and this one is no different; in fact, it's one of her absolute best.
God of Fury: A Dark MM College Romance (Legacy of Gods Book 5)
By: Rina Kent

This singular gay-awakening romance is definitely one for the…well books. God of Fury centers on college kid Brandon, whose violent twin brother leads him astray, and right into the clutches of the even more chaotic and violent grasp of Niko.
Three important words for this romance: angst, angst, angst. The chemistry between the main leads is breathtaking, while the story itself is genuinely beautiful. It’s a more profound read than most viewers might be expecting, which marks it as a 10/10 experience. Brandon is forced to face parts of himself and give up his control to a very chaotic individual, but in the end, it fits well. The romance of it all is definitely in the “grower, not a shower” realm, as it's pretty physical before any kind of ‘true feelings' are involved. But with a chaos-prone bi-baddie and a gay awakening control freak at the helm of this surprisingly deep story, readers are sure to enjoy.
'Silver Under Nightfall: Silver Under Nightfall #1'
By: Rin Chupeco

The MM bi-wakening world simply does not have enough fantasy reads that are worth delving into, but thankfully, there exists Silver Under Nightfall, here to save us all. The story focuses on the son of the Duke of Valenbonne, Remy Pendergast, a bounty hunter of rogue vampires who finds himself entangled with the shockingly warmhearted vampire heiress Xiaodan Song and her infuriatingly arrogant fiancé, vampire lord Zidan Malekh, and he doesn’t really want to be unentangled.
For every book enthusiast who adores romance, action, and fantasy, this one is definitely the perfect match. Silver Under Nighfall is a fantastic story, with monsters and mayhem galore. Its romance is addictive, and steeped with tropes that’ll fit any romance junky need. When it comes to the awakening trope, it's all the more angsty than one might imagine, but really should be obvious since it does hold a bit of enemies-to-lovers finesse in there. Silver Under Nightfall delves into some trouple action, which does nothing but elevate ALL aspects of the epic story. Standing as a quality fantasy that delivers peak queer romance, Silver Under Nightfall is definitely one of the absolute best on this list.
'Bro and the Beast'
By: L.C. Davis Joel Abernathy and L. C. Davis

Bro and the Beast is absolutely peak reading material when it comes to mm-awakenings. The supernatural romance follows musclebound frat bro Brad, who, after getting run off the road by a reckless driver, is thrust into his twin brother's favorite corny shifter romance AS THE NEW, MAIN LOVE INTREST.
Bro and the Beast is genuinely an all-around good time. It’s a supernatural fantasy that is absolutely hilarious with one extremely reluctant bi-awakening male lead, and another who isn’t so reluctant. The story is a romance that not only fans of mm awakenings would adore, but also anime fans who obsess over isekai tropes. Bro and the Beast is icon status work, and with its hilarious romance, which is truly too sweet for words, it deserves far more attention. From isekai tropes, extremely comedic scenes, to a swoon-worthy romance, and an awakening fantasy worth talking about, Bro and the Beast stands as a definite, worthy read.
'Try (Temptation Series Book 1)'
By: Ella Frank

This read is not for the weak. Try centers on Logan Mitchell, the suave, sex loving bi-sexual man, and Tate, a down-on-his-luck divorcee whose four years of marriage to a woman of his dreams truly turns into a nightmare. Pursued by Logan, Tate’s journey takes a turn for the strange as feelings arise in ways he never thought they would.
What a read, what a read. Try is one of the most sensual books to ever exist. It features a singular MM bi-awakening romance that wields the ability to make readers absolutely breathless. Tate stood no chance when it came to Logan, and despite what Logan might think initially, he didn’t either. The heat is sweltering in this one, and the chemistry almost too divine. Try is one of those reads that hooks its readers and never lets go. It evokes feeling—and not all are from the horny variety—genuine, wholesome feelings. It’s a standout romance that offers sex scenes that tell a lengthy story, one filled with chemistry, emotions, romance, and heat. Try is a read everyone should indulge in, and they’ll likely never forget it.
'The Fating'
By: Dianna Roman

The Fating is the great MM queer-awakening read sci-fi fans have been searching for. The sci-fi romance centers around a main lead who is interested in a bounty of a lifetime, in the sector of the galaxy he hates. With the intention of doing just one last job, he meets his fate in the form of Grantham, the crowned prince of Ditali, after a harrowing experience. As one of the straightest men to ever exist, the leading man, finds himself conflicted as it turns out his new admirer may likely die from his rejection.
The Fating is honestly one of the best and funniest reads out there. It's not only extremely compelling but also incredibly heartfelt. The humor definitely doesn’t take away from the romance; in fact, it only enhances it. The Fating feeds the awakening trope, with a down-on-his-luck guy who is straighter than an arrow but starts to curve out just a bit as his new alien friend comes into the picture. The relationship between the leads is the main focus, and the tension between them as they navigate it is surprisingly wholesome, while also a bit unexpectedly raunchy. With tropes like alien abduction, soul mates, and queer awakenings, The Fating stands as a clear romance favorite.
'Mighty Quill: An MM Paranormal Shifter Romance (Sanguis Et Fauna)'
By: Emmaline Strange

This MM paranormal gay-awakening romance is one of the most wholesome reads ever. The book, Mighty Quill, focuses on the very normal Cassian Rhodes, who is in desperate need of a new place to stay. When he discovers the perfect place that comes with a slightly odd roommate, he believes things are finally looking up…only he seems to be going through a bit of a sexuality crisis every time he sees his sweet but socially distant roommate, who may or may not be part of a different species entirely.
Calling all readers who are dying to go “awwww.” With minimal angst, but maximum romance, Mighty Quill delivers a fantastic read that is a genuinely great time. In the realm of supernatural fantasies, not many have the bi-awakening trope, and for those dying for something like that, this book is the perfect match. It’s short, sweet, and engaging. Readers find themselves attached to the main leads and invested in how their relationships grow. Mighty Quill hosts a bi-awakening trope, a secret society trope, and some good friend-to-lovers action. It might not be an astounding read for some, but to others, Mighty Quill is a gem worth exploring.
'Reckless: An MM Enemies to Lovers Sports Romance'
By: Becca Steele

Reckless is a fantastic romance read with a double bi-awakening worth talking about. The story follows two football players who are making headlines for all the wrong reasons. At odds with each other—so much so that their managers get involved—the two are forced to spend time together on an exclusive resort island, where they must sort out their feelings, only to discover that when they don’t hate each other, the chemistry between them is absolutely piping hot.
This romance book is a whole lot of fun. It's angsty, and heated, and the boys are truly obsessed with each other—well, initially for all the wrong reasons. Reckless is a genuinely engaging enemies-to-lovers sports romance that proves that there is a very thin line between love and hate. The tropes are abundant in this one, with not only a doubly bi-awakening, force proximity, and hate-to-love romance, but also desperate secret keeping, with a hint of childhood rivalry. With an epic payoff to all the heated hatred between the two male leads, Reckless stands as a book that’ll capture your attention from beginning to end.
'Pretty Boy: The Boys of Apartment 13 Book 1'
By: Brianna Flores

Pretty Boy is a ridiculously entertaining read. The book centers on Liam, who finds himself newly obsessed with a large, tattooed gym trainer, a far cry from his usual conquests. While his crush is incredibly obvious, it's no wonder his new obsession, Bash, immediately picks up on it, wanting no part in that pretty, straight boy’s madness—only he can’t seem to help himself.
Pretty Boy features a sunny, sexually curious young man, and a grumpy, self-assured giant who finds himself undeniably attracted to someone he doesn’t want to be. The start of this story is pretty great—despite the moments of secondhand embarrassment, readers can’t help but feel for poor Liam as his crush becomes painfully obvious to both them and Sebastian. It’s a surprisingly sweet read that balances itself pretty well with tension, humor, and vulnerability on both sides. Though Liam, an obvious puppy dog, may have fallen first, Bash definitely fell a lot harder. It may not be the most angsty of series, but what makes Pretty Boy truly such a page turner is the romance and the eventual twist of fate seen within its pages.
'The Heir's Disgrace (Doormen of the Upper East Side Book 1)'
By: August Jones

This addictive read is a feverish bout of frustration and sensuality. The Heir's Disgrace follows Night Doorman of The Eastmoor on Park, Drew Riley, whose failing modeling career leaves him struggling mentally, and the stuck-up, socialite Olivier Arnaud, flaunting his wealth, only makes everything worse. When opportunity comes to stick it to Olivier, Drew pounces, but things definitely take a strange turn when the two collide in unforeseen ways.
This is an unexpectedly great read that wields a surprising amount of depth. The Heir’s Grace is a true page turner that delivers on the chemistry between its leads. From insecurities and flaws to the desperation between the love interests, the heat burns constantly. The Heir’s Grace pacing is also pretty solid, with its story consistently entertaining, and acting as a great hole filler after a book like God of Fury. With a rich boy/poor boy trope delivered in a uniquely addictive way, and combined with a double MM awakening that leaves readers kicking their feet, The Heir’s Grace stands as a strong read with a perfect ending.
'Secret Service: A M|M Romance'
By:

Secret Service may be a bi-awakening romance, but its mystery storyline adds quite a bit of depth that makes not only the romance thrilling but also the overall narrative far more layered and engaging. The book focuses on a very straight secret service agent who can’t help but be enamorously captivated by the new president, who may be more than the world thinks he is. Knowing that their love is forbidden and may even turn out to be quite world-ending, the two fight their feelings, only to find themselves losing in the battle of love.
Though the connection between the love interests of Secret Service is pretty much instant, it isn’t anything like instalust; it's more like when two soulmates finally meet. From that moment, readers are forced to root for them, despite the utterly forbidden nature of their relationship. While the beautiful president is quite aware of his sexuality, Agent Reese is definitely taken aback by the feelings that evolve within him the longer he spends in this very important man’s vicinity. It's a bi-awakening good time with heavy stakes, and tropes like secret keeping, forbidden trysts, and a mystery worth diving into.
'Human Omega: Discovered on the Slave Planet (Pykh)'
By: Eileen Glass

Human Omega: Discovered on the Slave Planet is insanely fantastic. The book follows Carter, a young Marine engineer whose day is going from bad to the pits of hell. Carter finds himself abducted by alien bug slavers and is forced to depend on his large, muscled, naked, and incredibly handsy cage mates for food and warmth, which makes things all the more complicated when budding feelings begin to bloom, as well as other things.
With tropes like queer awakening, forced proximity, alien abduction, and omega antics, Human Omega stands as pure entertainment. Carter, being a typical straight man and a qualified marine, shocks these alien men constantly, but they definitely coddle him in an adorable way that shows off their muscled possessiveness. Not only must Carter deal with captivity, but he is also forced to go through a bit of a gay/cross-species romance that he definitely never expected. Human Omega: Discovered on the Slave Planet is an all-around good time with sci-fi entertainment and so much more that only elevates the eventual saga.
'Garron Park: MM enemies to lovers romance (From Nothing Book 1)'
By: Nordika Night

Garron Park is the enemies to lovers, bi-awakening story readers obsessed with the genre have been searching for. The story centers on Devon Sawyer and Maddox Kane, sworn enemies and rivals on and off the track. When Devon finds himself hurt and desperately searching for his brother, he instead finds Maddox, who, despite all his talk of hatred, takes him in and provides a safe haven unlike any other.
Garron Park is rife with filth, in some of the truly best ways, and sometimes pretty hellish. Here are two male leads that know what a tough life is, from dealing with things like abusive parents to too small rooms in a trailer park. These boys fight for everything they have, and they mostly fight each other. The tension is beautiful in Garron Park, the story deep, and surprisingly sporty. It's definitely a page turner that makes for a wild ride of romance, change, and shit-talking men that are absolutely OBSESSED with each other.
'Snatch: Cerberus MC Book 5'
By: Marie James

This read has all the angst and sexy times needed within a good bi-awakening romance book. Snatch: Cerberus MC Book 5 centers around two best friends whose night of fun takes a drastic turn once their “swords,” cross. With risks taken and feeling exposed, the men begin a journey of love that moves from heartfelt friendship to filthy complications.
Snatch is a pretty good page turner. Readers adore both leading men and all the angst they deliver. It's surprisingly good with tons of spice that can get a bit overwhelming. Other than the bi-awakening trope, some of the others are quite addictive, ranging from friends to lover romance, and secret relationships, to caretaking / hurt comfort and biker bad boy MC antics, making for a rather delicious read that is perfect for those searching for a quick and entertaining romance.
'Putting Out for a Hero: A Superhero/Villain MM Romance (Villainous Things Book 3)'
By: C. Rochelle

Putting Out for a Hero is an unexpectedly fantastic story with a surprising amount of depth. The book follows Baltasar and Zion, rivals in both sports battles and status. When Baltasar moves into Zion’s family home, engaged to his cold sister, Zion is forced to acknowledge his feelings, and Baltasar is tempted in ways that he never anticipated.
Putting out for a Hero is not what most would expect. It's actually a pretty good read that wields a great romance. It is part of a larger series, which audiences can feel, but it tends to read pretty well all on its own and still turns out quite entertaining. With a powered himbo that goes through an mm awakening that’s triggered by his enemy/rival, it makes for a genuinely interesting read. Putting Out for a Hero is a romantic and humorous book, with a fantasy/sci-fi edge that adds the spice outside of the bedroom, making it a great read to dive right into.
'Two Straights Too Many (Heroes of Port Dale Book 1)'
By: Romeo Alexander

This read may not be the angstiest ever created, but it’s a quick good time that gifts the right amount of spice and wholesome attitude. Two Straights Too Many follows firefighters and best friends, Cade and Elias. As two totally straight friends, they have never questioned their closeness, until things take a turn when they’re forced into a fake relationship to avoid complications, only to gain so many more.
Two Straights Too Many is the perfect beach read with a double bi-awakening, friends-to-lovers trope that pulls readers in. It’s not rife with angst, but it is still quite sweet. The two main leads practically slip into their relationship as one would slip into a pair of well-worn, comfy socks. Two Straights Too Many ultimately delivers a light, heartfelt romance that feels easy, natural, and genuinely comforting.
